Job Description
Human Resources Generalist
  • Our client is a global manufacturer that is growing in size and needs to hire a smart, articulate, Bi-lingual English/ Spanish Human Resources Generalist. 
  • They have experienced a lot of growing pains and needs a generalist who can implement training and developmental programs to improve retention, upgrade training materials and improve the culture

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direction and counsel regarding human resource aspects of plant operations in non-union environments
  • Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training employees, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems and compliance with organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Offer guidance and assistance to plant personnel in dealing with day-to-day employee relations’ issues. 
  • Provide accurate and consistent policy interpretation and administration.
  • Work with Talent Acquisition team to support recruiting for exempt, non-exempt and hourly positions in the facility. 
  • Oversee safety committee and safety training. 
  • Oversee management of Workers’ compensation. 
  • Develops, recommends and implements personnel policies, training and procedures. 
 
Requirements:
  • Four-year Bachelor’s degree required.  Ideally in Business, Human Resources, Manufacturing, Safety training or similar
  • MBA, Masters or SPHR certification is preferred
  • Bi-lingual English / Spanish is required
  • Must have experience working in a manufacturing setting; Foods or consumer products manufacturing experience is preferred but open to any manufacturer
  • Should have experience as a generalist in HR with functions including: recruiting, training, payroll, workers comp, policies and procedures, etc.
  • Experience with implementing and overseeing training and staff developmental programs
  • Self-directed, patient, and enjoys working in a fast-paced operation
