Job Description
We are looking for a human resource specialist who will handle and provide support for various HR employee programs within the organization.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Maintains personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
  • Explaining human resources policies, procedures, laws, and standards to new and existing employees.
  • Processes personnel action forms and ensures proper approvals; disseminates approved forms.
  • Assists in hiring process of direct hires and temporary associates by coordinating job posting on the website, reviewing resumes, and performing telephone interviews, background and reference checks.
  • Keeps employee records up to date by processing employee status changes in timely fashion.
  • Maintains the employee handbook with updated resolutions and other pertinent information, as needed.
Education and Experience:
  • Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or other related field.
  • A minimum of three years of job-related experience in a human resource department; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential or the ability to acquire a certification within the first 2 years of employment.
  • Extensive knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Office Suite), computer hardware and computer servers.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
  • Ability to operate most standard office equipment.
  • Attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
  • Good to excellent spelling, grammar and written communication skills.
  • Excellent telephone and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
